All classes and laboratory courses will be conducted strictly in English.
Monday-Saturday:8:45 am to 5:00pm.
The Institute will remain closed on Sundays,Alternate Saturdays and on holidays as per the academic calender of the Institute.
Periodic tests are held during the semester to assess the progress of the trainees,in practical as well as in theory subjects.Semester tests are conducted every six months.Additional two semester examination(Supplementary I & Supplementary II) are conducted for promotion to the next higher semester.
All the students undergo 15 days orientation programme which is a familiarization/preparatory programme to achieve the following objectives:
90% attendance in each semester is compulsory.Parents are advised to take a special note of this.
All articles like exercise books,pencils,drawing instrument box, set square,foot-rules,scientific calculators etc. have to be purchased by the trainees.Few specialized instruments may be purchased under the guidance of the concerned technical staff.
Trainees are required to wear safety shoes in the workshop as well as the prescribed color uniform of good quality during working hours.Uniforms will have to be purchased by the trainees and made as per the specification laid down by the Institute after admission formalities have been completed.
A system has been established to conduct co-curricular and extra-curricular activities like Lab-Talk,Quality circles,Technical enrichment programmes,Study tours,Village camps,Cultural/sports & games activities etc.
Leave is granted only in exceptional cases for which prior permission of the Principal is essential.The Institute closes for trainees as mentioned in the Institution's Annual Calender and official holidays as declared by the State Government.
After completion of the fifth semester and before the start of the sixth semester, trainees are required to undertake an Educational Tour and visit various industries in the country.The tour is compulsory and the travelling expenditure on Rail/Bus fare is borne by the students.
A booklet entitled "Rules and Regulations for Trainees " containing Code of Conduct, Academic Discipline,Examination Procedures,Leave Rules,Hostel Rules etc. will be issued to the selected candidates for their information and strict compliance.
At the time of Admission a declaration to the effect that the trainee will faithfully abide by the rules and regulations of the Institute and a guarantee from parents that they would be willing to make good, any loss or damage caused to the property is to be furnished in the prescribed form of declaration.
